Asian Braai Pork



2 Tablespoon granulated or light brown sugar

4 cloves chopped garlic

1/2 onion

3 lemongrass, trimmed and finely chopped (3 tablespoons)

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

2 Tablespoon soy sauce

2 Tablespoon fish sauce

1 tablespoon oil


Cut the pork into pieces. Set aside.

Blend sugar, garlic, onion and lemongrass, pepper, soy sauce, fish sauce, and oil to a fine texture. Transfer to a bowl.

Add pork, and coat well. Cover and marinate for 1 hour at room temperature. Alternatively refrigerate up to 24 hours (put out for 1 hour at room temperature before you braai)

Braai on high heat turning frequently, until cooked through. Make sure to leave meat to rest covered for about 5 minutes before serving.
