Char Siu Pork
Ingredients
800g Pork Shoulder
1/2 tbsp Honey
1/2 tbsp Light Soy Sauce
1/2 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
1/2 tbsp Rice Wine
1 tsp Sesame Oil
1/2 tsp White Pepper
Pinch of 5 Spice
3 tbsp Soft Brown Sugar
1 Clove Garlic ( chopped)
Method
Mix all ingredients in a bowl making sure to coat the pork pieces fully
Marinate for atleast 4 hrs or preferably overnight
Remove pork from fridge 30mins before grilling
Keep remaining marinade
Turn on oven to 180 degrees celcius
Place pork on wire rack, add to the middle of the oven tray and cook for 45 mins
Make sure to turn over pork at 20mins and rebaste with remaining marinate
Cook for another 25mins
Turn on the grill function in the oven, raise the tray to the top and grill for a further 8 mins to caramalize the marinade
Enjoy with rice!
