Chocolate Cake


1 3/4 cups m all purpose flour

3/4 cup cocoa powder

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1 1/2 tsp bi-carb soda

2 cups castor sugar

1 tsp salt

2 eggs

1 cup milk

1/2 cup cooking oil

2 tsp vanilla essence

1 cup hot coffee


Sift the flour, cocoa, baking powder and soda into a large bowl. Add castor Sugar and salt. Whisk to combine.

Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla. Whisk well to combine until lump free.

Add hot coffee and whisk to incorporate well. The batter is VERY thin

Pour batter into cake pans.

(I line pans with wax paper makes it easy to remove).

Bake at 180degrees in preheated oven for 35 minutes
