Hot Dogs
Ingredients
Hot Dog Rolls
1/2 Head Lettuce ( sliced )
1 Large Tomato ( sliced in half)
Vienna Sausages
Caramelized Onions
Mayonnaise
Mustard Sauce
Method
For the Onions
Chop 2 large Onions into 1 cm thick Rings
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Balsamic or White Vinegar
Salt & Pepper to taste
1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
Heat pan to medium heat, add oil and heat
Add Onions and fry off until just soft
Turn heat down to low add sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper to taste
Cook on low until the sugar is caramelized with the onions for 20 mins then set aside
For the Hot Dogs
Cut the Hot Dog Rolls 3/4 way through lengthwise
Add Lettuce, tomato then Vienna sausage
Top with caramelized onions
Add mayonnaise and mustard sauce and serve!!
