Phyllo Beef Pie


Beef Fillet:

500g Beef Fillet

1/2 cup Soy Sauce

1/2 cup Oyster Sauce

1 bunch Basil

3 cloves Garlic

1/2 Onion

2 Scotch Bonnet Chilies (de-seeded and chopped)

1/2 cup Brown Sugar

1/4 tsp Sesame Oil

1 tbsp Vegetable Oil

Salt and pepper to taste


1 Box of phyllo pastry prepared in sheets

½ cup salted butter, melted


Pat dry beef with paper towel

Thinly slice beef then season with salt and pepper then set aside in bowl

Chop chili, garlic, onion and basil

In a bowl mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce and sugar

Grab your Wok or frying pan and place into high heat, add the vegetable and sesame oil to the pan.

Add the garlic, onion and chilie to the pan and fry off for 1 minute then add the beef and fry for another 5 minutes.

Add the sauce mixture to the beef and continue to cook until the sauce thickens ( if need be add some cornstarch to thicken)

Set aside and let it cool down then add to the Phyllo Pastry
